Good Friday Commemoration at St. Bernard Seminary Hostel

Good Friday, observed on the 18th of April 2025, is one of the most solemn days in the Christian calendar. It commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary—a profound act of love and sacrifice for the redemption of humanity.

At St. Bernard Seminary Hostel, the commemoration was marked by deep reflection and devotion. The chief celebrant, Rev. Fr. Paul Ede, was joined by co-celebrants Rev. Fr. John Okechukwu and Rev. Fr. Robinson Amadi. Together, they led the community in the solemn liturgy, which included the Passion narrative, veneration of the Cross, and prayers for the Church and the world.

Good Friday reminds Christians of the cost of salvation and invites all to contemplate the mystery of Christ's suffering, obedience, and love unto death. It is a day not of despair, but of hope rooted in the promise of the Resurrection.
